Americanos feature sweet vermouth and Campari, garnished with a slice of lemon. Martinis are made with gin or vodka, dry vermouth and an olive or lemon twist to garnish. It's actually one of his go-to drink orders on a night out, along with an Americano, which are both made with vermouth, a kind of fortified wine. Conde's favourite cocktails to order on a night out are martinis and Americanos. My absolute favourite would be a Martini," he says. "What I do like is when people order something uncommon. While he doesn't necessarily have a "least favourite" drink order, making the same basic spirit and mixer combos all night long can get dull. Problems arise when the ingredients aren't there and it's a busy night," he says. "Complicated orders are okay with me as long as I know how to execute the drink. ![]() It's usually more fun for him to whip up a unique or uncommon drink over yet another vodka, lime and soda on a Saturday night.
